Promotional Postcards

As part of the branding and promotion for the next event, me and Francesca are developing a net to package four postcards (each designed by one of us). I have looked at some various packaging to inspire this.

Andy showed me this postcard holder, designed by GFSmith, this would be perfect for our own, as it doesn't need any adhesive and folds down from a square piece of paper.

This envelope booklet would be ideal, instead of being clipped together, a simple japanese bind would work well. The idea of having windows to display the work is also good, so people can browse through before they decide to buy.

Inpress promotion

I have been looking at different layout designs to influence mine and Francesca's designs for the promotion for the Inpress event. I like the use of fragmented type, and originally came across these poster designs with the prospectus design in mind. I think that this kind of idea will work well, as it is visually interesting and doesn't require much of a concept, as that lies more in the production of the design work.

inpress promotion

Me and Francesca have brainstormed the kind of thing that we want to do for the promotion for our next event. The key things we want are spot colours, to keep with our branding and to use a typeface from Form&Writing as they are guest designers at the event.

Here are some examples of the kind of thing we want to produce.

This is especially the kind of thing that will work for us. It will also keep cost down to digitally print everything in black and white, and then overlay our spot colours by screenprinting them over the top.
